John F. Fulwider IV Born: July 12, 1969 in Fallbrook, California to John and Susan Fulwider John attended Green Valley Elementary School in Danville, where he received primarily A's. Because the Fulwider family lived in Tassajara, John used to walk a mile and a half to the school bus stop each morning, and the same distance back in the afternoon. John was also learning to play the flute. At the age of 5, John was an avid MX hill climber, driving his own MR 50cc MX Honda motorcycle. John excelled not only in water skiing, but also in snow skiing. He became a 1980 bronze medalist in downhill slalom skiing while a member of the Squaw Valley Nastar Snow Skiing Team. In addition, John was very active in Scouts. He was in Cub Scouts, Webelos, and Boy Scouts. While in our Troop 36, John became a Life Scout before he was 13 years old. John was to attend the 8th Nippon Jamboree in Japan. John was especially excited about visiting Satouro Itoh, the Japanese Scout who had stayed with the Fulwiders during his trip to the United States. In fact, John had obtained his passport and plane fare for the trip. John left us in his prime at only age 12, but all of us who knew John remember him in love and hope that this helps to better acquaint you with him. |
